NGOs Week 2022 - Eldoret Region

NGO WEEK DATES: 14TH-18TH MARCH 2022


The Annual NGOs Week serves as a platform for knowledge and experience sharing, raising awareness on NGOs role and impact in society, showcasing efforts and achievements of NGOs and enhancing collaboration and networking across the charitable, public, and private sectors.
The NGOs Week 2022 is organized on the theme “Celebrating NGOs Adaptation, Innovation and Resilience in a Global Pandemic”. Underlying the theme is the recognition of the significant role the NGO sector has and continues to play in
complimenting government efforts in the fight against COVID-19 pandemic.
The event will serve as a platform for NGOs to showcase their initiatives, innovative solutions and best practices as well as social efforts. The event will also provide an opportunity for private sector organisations to showcase themselves, their goods and services, and social efforts.
NGOs Week 2022 Activities
There will be several activities during the week. The main ones include:

  1. Launch of Annual NGO Sector Report 2020/2021 on Monday, 14th March 2022 at KICC (Tsavo Ballroom): The
    Report documents the status of the NGO sector during the year, including sector growth, distribution of NGOs, areas of operation, donor funding, sustainability and projects implemented.
  2. Exhibitions on 14th-16th March, 2022 at the KICC court yard: This will bring together various NGOs and private sector
    players to showcase their work, products and services.
  3. Webinars on 15th-17th March, 2022: These will involve NGO and private sector players engagement in interactive virtual
    discussions on relevant topical issues affecting the NGO/CSO sector, including the impact of COVID-19. The respective
    webinar links will be provided to participants.
  4. Public Lecture on Friday, 18th March 2022 at IDS, the University of Nairobi (10:00 am- 12:00 noon): The public
    engagement will revolve around the Journey and the State of the NGO Sector in Kenya.
  5. Regional activities: The Board’s regional offices in conjunction with NGOs operating in their areas and other Board stakeholders have organized activities in Eldoret, Garissa, Kisumu, and Mombasa.
